Can anyone with booster connections tell

If that's what you comprehend then you fail at comprehension. Go back to rioting free elections and mourning the death of a murderous tyrant

The dude said "female chancellor from Cincinnati." There are three descriptive terms in that phrase. UT is hiring a chancellor so anyone taking the job would have that title. "From Cincinnati" shouldn't be indicative of virtues or lack thereof unless you're talking about a bowl of chili. That leaves us with female.

He thinks that this chancellor will be more PC because she's a female. The same way you think your dumb political opinions are less dumb because they are yours.

With all the injuries and the Jalen Hurd issues.. Who could coach in these conditions? Saying that I believe Butch is a 9 10 wins coach at best.. But we need to get over the fact that we are BAMA... I was taught as a child to strongly dislike the tide but come on people Nick Saban has changed the landscape of College Football... I was hoping for a 10-2 season.. There is now way that we should have lost the Carolina and Vandy game..

It's the first thing in his paragraph. Oh, I voted Trump btw, so no riots for me.

At last look she is a female, if she was a male I would have said beware of the male chancellor. I could care less what her gender is, more worried about her agenda.

So your problem is the Chancellor is a female? Say's a lot about your character.

The bigger problem is finding someone who isn't a barking-at-the-moon loony leftist. The infestation of them in the education system is severe. Then their philosophy directs their hires (AD) and those who are hired by them. We may end up playing Sarcastaball.

If she was a male there is no chance you would have said "Beware of the Male Chancellor". Come off it.

Charles Ergen and Haslam are worth over 20 billion not to mention Peyton is worth $250 million or more and can help. They talk about money all the time and how we can not afford... BS! Seems funny to me we can have a $100 million in renovations but can't have decent coaches in all of our sports to watch them in. Sounds like old saying "Put the cart before the horse."
Great post.Put the money in the right place.

You're right I would have said chancellor from Cinncinnati but that is not important, the agenda is. Look at Cinncinnati's athletics, they are small potatoes in every way, not big time collegiate athletics. Does that spell trouble for UT? Word among the peon contributors is yes.

Sexist or not sexist?? Whatever .. This woman was hired primarily to send a message.. Highly unlikely she was the best option for this leadership role..

Did the football program regress during her stint at Cincinnati.. YES.. And before any fool says it us because of Tuberville he is the same guy that recruited well and had an undefeated team at Auburn that should have played for a National Championship.. Also I dont think anybody here thinks that there was a huge dropoff between him and Butch Jones in ability to develop talent..

The current admin does not care about winning football games as much as we do.. We might as well accept it.. The admin is 1000% to blame for the last decade or more

That's a pretty big reach, man. You aren't dealing with the Ole Miss/Auburn Tuberville. He literally ran out of a dinner with recruits in Lubbock to take the Cincinnati job. T

You're implying almost all of the blame rest on the chancellor. How is that possible?

First of all Ms. Davenport did not hold the position of Chancellor at Cincy but Provost. Regardless you can rest assured that this woman has a very differnt agenda than winning athletic competitions.

It does not fall on one individual but an administration as a whole and the message was sent with this hire that it would be more of the same liberal academia BS. The current admin at UT does not have the same priorities as our fanbase does.. The institutions that have sustained athletic success make it a HIGH priority..

And with all due respect buddy in terms of purely coaching football and running a program there is little difference between Lyle and Tommy Tubberville..

Well if she is going to do this she will be the most unpopular Chancellor in Tennessee history. I can't believe even our Administration would continue to try go this route, just let Tennessee be a great southern public university and quit with the out of tough PC crap and trying to be Ivy League. Time for our donors to go to WAR if this is going to be the case. GBO!!!!!

This stuff will be all over the place and we won't know the truth until it happens if anything does happen. Ive come to the realization that Tennessee can't have nice things. We must've sold our souls to the devil in 98'.

Naw--we had a stupid AD who went out and hired that idiot Kiffin--and we just haven't recovered from it yet....

us what the thoughts are about Jones among the main core of boosters. Wondering how most of them feel about Jones and who is ready to change course. GBO!

there I was, in the secret meeting room with the hard core boosters, all chanting Gruden....

This is an absurd, alarmist, unsubstantiated thing to say. You and your political hysteria are based on the cynical rumblings of the mob and serve only to seed fear and discontent.

You'll fit right in here.

(Provost, chancellor, whatever. The specific title isn't relevant to what we're talking about here, but if I was wrong, I was wrong)

See, I see people say this kind of stuff, but they never actually say anything concrete.

How is her agenda different? Hell, what even is her agenda in the first place? I genuinely want to know. Cite specific examples from UC.

You lost me on the Tuberville thing. On one hand you cite his high water mark and Auburn then say there is little difference between he and Jones.

He's still trying to figure out why Cleveland still sucks.

You'd think with a decade straight of #1 picks they would be a little more competitive. Unfortunately for them, their administration might even be more incompetent than ours. See drafting Johnny Manziel as their QB.
