The way Prince is providing spark to an already loaded Vol team. Man, they were exciting at Xavier!

Ole Miss worries me.. they have a lot of size and we were exposed even more on rebounding today. Last year they dominated us in the paint and blew us out (without Lofton).. plus it's early on and we're not where we want to be yet.

Miss State isn't that good from what I've seen. They lost to South Alabama (but USA took Vandy to the wire as well).

I think we may struggle with LSU at their place... just because they're always so long and lanky. But should win that one - they've been horrible at times.

Sounds pretty good when Fla. and UK are not mentioned as contenders, but a lot can change. Just look how our football season turned around. Maybe UK won't find it. It's been a long time coming, I sure hope we win it. I sure hope Lofton can find his shot. Last year he was making almost all of those layups, this year he can't even make those.

Too much bb to be played.... Match up wise nobody can completely match up with us for 40 minutes in the SEC... but the intangibles of these kids getting the Big Head is a concern...

Going 4-0 against UK and Florida is not out of the question. Kentucky looks BAD right now. I know, new coach, different system, and I expect they will be considerably better by the end of the year, but the stark truth is that we have considerably more talent. Same deal with UF.

Biggest threats to UT in the SEC: Vandy and Arkansas.

Arkansas spent today losing at home to Appy State.

We should be able to run through the SEC schedule without much problem. You have to expect a slip up or two, but if we can take from today's game, we could be a force.

Hmmmm. Didn't know that. I know you're no fan of John Pelphrey, Hat, but you'd surely have to concede that, talent-wise, Arkansas is one of the top 3 or 4 schools in the conference.

I think Arkansas has as much talent as anyone in the league, Tennessee included. They just play with the focus of a 5 year old without his Ritalin and are coached by a guy who is mediocre at best.

That may be true, but the sheer talent does make them dangerous - you never know when they might have the night where it all clicks and they run you out of the gym. As opposed to, say, UK, who, based on what I've seen, couldn't run a squad of octogenarians out of the downtown YMCA's gym.

That makes them dangerous on the night you play them. It doesn't make them a threat to win a championship decided over a 16 game stretch.

Right. I'm looking at this in terms of teams that are likely to hand UT a loss. Plus, there's always the SEC tournament - it would be nice to win one of those every once in a while, and Arkansas is exactly the kind of team that could get hot for a stretch of 3 or 4 games and blow right through it.

I've seen Vandy play and they can be very good (big aussie is good) but I don't think they can handle our speed. Ark. are talented but you never know what team will show up. After watching the gators today I don't think they are very good (too many young players) Besides Ky (who will get better) I don't see any team that can match us in SEC

Im afraid Vanderbilt could get us, but over a complete season of SEC ball I think we will be just fine.

I still want payback on Vandy from that last second loss even though we crushed them later in the year. That loss sticks with you - especially when you're there live..

Here's to a sweep!
