I don't think I should be that concerned by it, but the way he talks about college offenses vs. NFL offenses with regard to our D caused me a bit of pause...but there's no real way around it...our offense is what it is, and that is what the D sees. I hope he understands them a little better than he lets on for the sake of the practice squad showing our D something.

Great interview. I loved what he said about being a great defense for prostyle offenses and that they need to get better for that other college offense...LOL

And Wow, didn't know he crashed his car. The man needs to sleep. He never sleeps.

I had the same feeling when I read that. But it has to help that he has Monte working with him, right?

LK: "Sure. Because it is different. I never even thought about ... you know, you want to be open and invite everyone to practice, and then an hour after practice I am being told that some of the people we let into practice are on their computers or their phones texting out that we are playing this guy at quarterback or this guy here. It's just followed so heavily that everything we do is magnified."

Whatever are you talking about Lane? No one I know does this.

I would rather him be worried about "college offenses" than to think they've got it knocked. Glad to hear they'll get a look at the spread againt WKU before going against UF.

I'm not so sure the spread WKU runs will look the same as the spread UF runs.

Just going off the article... I know very little about WKU except they've struggled badly with their move from FCS to FBS. Probably a mistake for them to have changed.

Janzen Jackson is a balla! Keep a light on that mofo. Just seeing how much Coach Kiffin puts into this football team makes me feel so much more confident. I am glad that he is so open with the fans cause I'm a volaholic and I need my fix. Fulmer would have never gave an interview like that.

Coach, so what are your concerns/ if any going into the season?

Phil: "Well, ummm, we look good but we are just gonna have to go back and watch the film before we make any decisions. I like football. You know I have won a lot of games here, also, I won a National championship like 11 years ago, btw."

The honesty is awesome...that is the great thing about this guy...you know he is not a politician.

In the NFL, all you do is go sign a guy. You get a guy off waivers or you trade for a guy. We have no where to go. We went to defense today and traded for Rod Wilks.

I'm really surprised no one has jumped on this yet...

SIAP: VolQuest.com Interview with CLK --

Camp confidential: Kiffin goes behind the scenes

I ran across this and I thought y'all would enjoy it. It is a fairly long read, though.

Sorry if already posted. I looked around and didn't see it.

Edit: Looks my thread got merged into this one -- thanks. Sorry for starting a redundant one.

At the end of College Football live today ESPN announced Matt Barkley to be USC's starter. This could be great for UT and Jesse Scroggins.

Anyone think he sounds overwhelmed? I like the honesty/ trasparency. But he seems to be mentioning a lot of reasons why UT is at a disadvantage.
