Granted, lots of NFL teams are trending more towards taller more physical CB's, but I don't think he goes in the first round now, just because of his injury. I hope he does, though. If anyone deserves it, he does! Hindsight is 20/20 but if he would have declared last year, he would've went in the first round, IMO.

He slipped last year. After his draft evaluation, he decided to come back. Would've been fourth rounder if he had declared

As much as us Vol fans love him and what he did here. Even last year he was only rated as mid to late round talent.

Sadly I think we as fans pump him up way more because of how horrible the rest of our secondary has been. Don't get me wrong was a good solid reliable cb, but he wasn't a shutdown avoid at all cost cb here. Hopefully the new coach will get the rest of these guys coached up so we will have a team full of good solid college CBs like him so we aren't forced to continue to pump up the only one on the team like he's the next Revis.

So you found one guy who said Cam didn't help himself but ignored the overwhelming praise he got from nearly every commentator on ESPN and NFL Network for the entire week?

I watched every minute of coverage of the south practices and Cam was almost always rated as one of the players who showed out.

You should watch more coverage rather than cherry picking one article.

Whatever you POS.

Sadly the fact that they were at the senior bowl pretty much says they won't be first rounders. The senior bowl is a game for middle round talent to try and show themselves more. How many rock solid first round guaranteed seniors have played in this game over the years. Sure there may have been a few over the years that worked their way up into the late first round.

That post is full of fail. You might want to acquaint yourself with these facts on past 1st rounders that played in the Senior Bowl.

30. Vernon Butler

2015

Please list Butch the 182lb, 5'11'' corners drafted in 1st round?

Cam had lower body injury and his rehab burned a lot of lower body mass.

He'll be 192 by the NFL combine.

The speed training alone adds muscle to the lower body.

Cam has outstanding work ethic.
And good talent.
Probably a 3rd rounder unless he rubs under 4.45.

4 years from now, he'll sign a big contract. He'll play for 10 years.

I listed the 5'11" and under corners drafted in the first round. You're glomming on WEIGHT and 182 pounds ain't SLIGHT...and FTR I don't think he gets drafted FIRST ROUND. Also FTR I think (health permitting) he gets the much more important SECOND CONTRACT...like Malcolm Butler. Who's 5'11" and 190 pounds and a PRO BOWLER. All those "NFL experts" you got on retainer explain why he's a success?
