It just goes to show that if you are going to break the rules, don't just tiptoe over the line. Instead, break them with gusto and the NCAA will look the other way, you will be awarded the Heisman as well as numerous other awards and then the Governor will have a day in your honor. I guess Obama will be next and then the United Nations after that.

Tentative and minor rule breakers get punished severely. Brazen rulebreakers win the prize.

This $cam Newton farce is one of the most ridiculous bunch of BS I have seen in my roughly four decades of watching sports.

You have to admit, 2 heisman trophy winners, and 2 appearances in NC in back to back years is unique. I don't think this has been done before. Bob Riley is a ua grad, so he probably knew the politically right thing to do was declare a $cam newton day. I understand that, but it doesn't change anything that most people believe about this guy. He is a hired gun, won't graduate for au, and will most likely bring the program down.
