Cam Newton: 2 or 3 Time National Champ?

Going on the complete assumption Auburn wins the National Championship, does that make Cam a 2 or 3 time National Champion? His latest would obviously come from Auburn and Blinn College but Cam was also a member of the 2008 Florida Gators, playing in the Hawaii game before taking a medical redshirt. I believe he was suspended from the team that year but did he still receive a ring since he didnt leave until after the season AND he did play for the team? I know in a lot of other sports if you just play one game for a team that wins a championship you're considered part of the team and reap the benefits. So does anyone know if Cam got a ring while at Florida?

He was suspended through the national title game in '08.

I'm pretty sure he didn't make the trip to Miami, but technically he was still on the team...so perhaps he did get a ring.

See I knew he got suspended but I didnt know if he was technically still part of the team. From what I understand he didnt leave Florida till AFTER the season, correct me if Im wrong. I just cant find anything about him getting a ring while there though.

2 years as a starting QB in College football and nobody has out scored him either.

Im kinda surprised there is so much hate towards Cam and Auburn from an SEC school. I mean I cant stand the guy but I know how good the SEC is and feel Auburn will probably win by at least 2 TDs. I figured the SEC always supported each other during bowl season.

This is JUST A HUNCH, but it may, JUST MAY because of that whole pay-for-play thing, and *******s like Nick Fairley.

Very well may be possible but thats like saying that No other team in the SEC has ever cheated before. They all have and usually SEC teams still support each other.

Every conference in the country contains cheaters. The SEC is no worse than any other conference, the Pac-12 included.

Thats my point, maybe I didnt phrase it right but everyone cheats yet usually you root for the same team conference anyway.
