We've all read how the Cal players were just overwhelmed and put into shock by the atmosphere of an SEC stadium last season, causing them to play like a bunch of zombies until Tennessee finally called off the dogs and let the third team get some experience.
Now apparently Cal has decided to try and recreate this atmosphere at Home.
They will be playing before a rare sell-out crowd whose noise level will be boosted through the use of mini-megaphones. :birgits_giggle:
Tennessee is used to playing at The Swamp, Death Valley, Stanford Stadium, The Big Chicken Coop and the Capstone. Does Cal really think they can make enough hostile noise to rattle the Vols? If anything a tomb-like quiet would be more likely to throw the Vols off their game. All this noise will just serve to make Tennessee feel more relaxed and at home. I only hope the Cal fans can keep up the noise after Tennessee takes the early lead.
On Sunday morning, I'm sure the headlines will read "Cal shocked by loud atmosphere" and thrashed again by Tennessee.
