We've all read how the Cal players were just overwhelmed and put into shock by the atmosphere of an SEC stadium last season, causing them to play like a bunch of zombies until Tennessee finally called off the dogs and let the third team get some experience.

Now apparently Cal has decided to try and recreate this atmosphere at Home.

They will be playing before a rare sell-out crowd whose noise level will be boosted through the use of mini-megaphones. :birgits_giggle:

Tennessee is used to playing at The Swamp, Death Valley, Stanford Stadium, The Big Chicken Coop and the Capstone. Does Cal really think they can make enough hostile noise to rattle the Vols? If anything a tomb-like quiet would be more likely to throw the Vols off their game. All this noise will just serve to make Tennessee feel more relaxed and at home. I only hope the Cal fans can keep up the noise after Tennessee takes the early lead.

On Sunday morning, I'm sure the headlines will read "Cal shocked by loud atmosphere" and thrashed again by Tennessee.

They'll say they were in shock this time from walking out and seeing a sold out home stadium.

with cal and their seeming ignorance when it comes to big time sec football, yes, they probably think that mini-megaphones is intimidating.

No excuse for a Cal loss this time.

They're at home, and we have our QB, and AA Punter somewhat injured. Our top RB suspended, etc...

If we win, it's because we're better. No if's, or but's, about it.

Sorry, Mr.Perfect. :p
Hell man, I would hate to hear the Golden Bears whine that we even tried to beat them out of a legitimate excuse for the loss!!! I can hear it now "you guys even cheated us out of our God given right to have a true cliche as an excuse"!!!

I can't wait to come back here on Sept. 2 and hear the VolNation's excuses for losing. Only true fans of college football will acknowledge that the better team won, but the rest of you will stretch the limits of reason trying to explain the Vol loss.

We're already covered. Droski admitted Pac 10 refs suck and are ready to milk that.

So you are admitting that you are not a true fan of college football, considering no Cal fan admitted that after UT won last year...:ermm:

If you win, then the BETTER team did not win. The better coached team would have won. You will not win anyways, and we probably won't see you after the 1st anyways.

Almost on, except for the fact Cal fans wouldn't reference a "God given right." That reference would offend them, you know.

Just curious is this really a rarity for them to sell out a game?:dunno:
Yes. Cal, along with most other Pac-10 stadiums, usually only sell out for USC.

Wazzu always sells out, but that's because Pullman is a hole and there's nothing else to do.

So, what I'm reading is the foregone conclusion is the Goldie Bears are a shoe in to win. When y'all lose I'm assuming you will acknowledge the better team won but what will the "rest of you" do?
