The python challenge runs from August 5 to August 14. Hunters are paid for every python they kill, with a $1,500 cash prize for the longest python caught and a $2,500 prize for the most pythons caught.

Back in January when I first took my wife to the Cleveland clinic, we had a day to go to the everglades. We found a park to picnic, and they happened to have a tour on a trolley car out into the glades. The Lady ranger was talking about how they were needing snake hunters. I told my wife, and her, that was my sign we need to move to Florida, cause they handle snakes in church where I come from
