Florida could be good next year with Calathes and Boynton along with Macklin in the front court.

Calathes really has no business leaving early. He's got a lot to work on, especially on the defense.

I'm sure Billy likes this. It wouldn't be out of the realm for Florida to miss a third straight tourney.

Exactly. The things that are going to be his biggest liabilities in the NBA aren't going to get any better with more time in college. Also, this Draft is wretched.

I'm wondering...at what point do gator fans start heating up Billy D's seat? It's almost as if the standard now in Gainesville is just to make the NCAA's.

And if Cal goes to UK, I don't see Tennessee or Florida taking many east titles away from them.

I guess Hat and BPV are right, you can't really work on athleticism in one year. This year Florida's excuse was the untimely loss of Speights to the NBA. Now we already know what it will be next year.

That was a valid excuse. The guy was a heck of a player on the inside and they had basically no post guy this year.

We lost Lofton and Jajuan. They were great 3 point shooters and we basically had no perimeter shooters this year. I guess that's a valid excuse as well.

Point is if you have to rebuild rather than reload after losing one player to the NBA, then that's your own fault. There are very few valid excuses in sports. Indiana, being in the mess they are in, is a valid excuse.

Kids a good ball player but I think he should stick around for another year...But hey really, Who CARES??....He stays we STILL beat them regularly...He leaves We beat them worse than if he stayed.

We didn't win the SEC or the SECT either so it doesn't really matter. We ended up below expectations as well.

We had a better group of core guys back than Florida has had with Wayne, Tyler, and JP. They had Calathes, Parsons, and Hodge lol.
