Tedford started longshore the rest of the season even though he was still injured. Longshore crapped away the UCLA and Arizona State games (maybe because of the injury or maybe because he is a choker, who knows) and after that the team gave up (maybe because tedford was sticking with a guy the team had no faith in).

After Cal beat the VOLS I followed them as best I could, and pretty much agree with your analysis. I never thought Cal was a "deep" team but I thought they looked pretty good at beginning of the year. When you are thin in the ranks one or two injuries can wipe out a good season...ask Oregon. However, with that said I am not a Tedford fan although there were a few VN posters throwing his name out as a replacement for CPF early in the year. Don't know how many would admit to it now, but I am sure a few would make the swap today, and probably a few of the Cal folks would swap out for CPF. "Fans! Go figure!" :whistling:
