John and Jimmy have a guy named Rusty Simmons a reporter who covers Cal for the SF Chronicle and they asked him to compare the 2 atmospheres to help UT fans who may be going to understand the difference. He said "there is no comparison. Cal fans or at least the younger fans are trying to learn how to be loud and how to be intimidating like you have there in Tennessee".

Do they have real hot dogs. With all those tree huggers and peta people, hot dogs might be banned. I guess they'll have tofu dogs:)

Cal fans need to find their inner anger. Visualize Tennessee cutting through the Cal's defense like a lumber jack in the Red Forest with a chainsaw. That get the blue blood flowing.

The difference in noise levels at Cal and Tennessee games is partially due to stadium capacity...73,000 vs. 107,000. The other reason is that Memorial Stadium is located on University property and no beer is served in the stadium. Thus, the higher decibel level at your stadium is in part due to the incessant belching of Vols fans.:toast::toast::toast::toast:

no beer is served at Neyland either (UT is a dry campus).

You might ought to research before you make statements like this...

For a fanbase that likes to envision itself being so firmly rooted in the intellegencia, so far the Cal fans have only come off as a bunch of blithering idiots (other than Droski).

Yes please research before posting. Neyland Stadium is on campus, in fact we have classes in it. And to say that your fans aren't just as intoxicated as ours is ludicrous.
