Cade Mays' $1,000,000.00.

So 80k fans going into Neyland...8 times for the year...couldn't donate $1.56 a game for the OL to have a major upgrade like Cade would provide?

Bullhockey. People need to consider just how many fans we have and how many would contribute on a LARGE scale.

Unfortunately guys like Spyre just now got things together for fan support. This won't happen in the future.

One of these guys needs to sign up with H&R Block now that it's tax season. Some kids are gonna get in a lot of trouble
Why would any of them get in trouble? Millions of college kids work on 1099s every year. And these kids have all the support, advisors, and additional NiL education on top of that.

Because they're going to struggle to file it correctly if at all

Looking forward? That's weird bro.

Are you an IRS auditor or just have weird weekend perversions? 😆 I keed, sorta.
Just morbid curiosity considering many of these "kids" have the financial acumen of a wet bag of hammers from Harbor Freight.... and if the tax repercussions drive the NIL one way or the other.

That being said..NIL deals could be the dose of reality many of these future Pro's need to ensure they don't become part of the "75% of us are bankrupt 5 years after retiring" Club.

By golly, they're just a bunch of dumb redneck kids over there enrolled at UT, huh? 😅

They're literally giving these kids additional courses and presentations on all of this, as well.

Millions of kids find their way every year on contract work. And these kids, D1 college students at UT, and with great support behind them, are smart enough and supported enough to be just fine. And many will still be dependents, so it's on their parents return as well...obviously any adult knows how to file a return or use someone to file for them.

You're right, d1 football players are usually known to be tremendous students. They're also usually from families used to dealing with multiple 1099s and thousands of dollars.

How silly of me 😂

Oh sure...not outspending what you have is a whole different thing, of which a majority of Americans fail to grasp. Most have consumer debt...car loans...credit card balances...ofc all of that is insane, but that's the sad norm of financial management in a highly consumerist and materialistic society as America's.

But filing your taxes and reporting your income isn't money management or impulse psychology. It's 101 and they'll get plenty of additional guidance on reporting quarterly and all that.

Weird vibes.

They're not all dumb hicks ffs. Especially at UT and even moreso under Heupel.

AGAIN they're getting additional coursework and guidance, regardless of your weird view of our players' mental acuity.

This is all going to implode.
I said the same a while back. We’re just now beginning to see the tip of the iceberg. When it comes into full sight, there’s going to be discord and mayhem all over.

Its the whole world of finance I'm referencing. Even for adults older than me it seems to be a mystery..

We are talking about football players..not the badminton team. Most don't come from families well versed in making good decisions in general, let alone financial ones.
