‘23 CA QB Nicholaus Iamaleava (Tennessee)

Had a dream last night he committed to Georgia

Ole Miss fans are a odd bunch they would rather have. 2600 yards 35/10 QB over a 3300 Yards 50/2 QB. And They say QB A is more of a Game Changer over QB B

Listened to the 247 podcast that came out yesterday. According to RC, Nico struggled at this Elite 11 camp. Humidity seemed to get to him, had to come off the field and alluded that he might have thrown up. Got some water and after a break looked better. But he said it’s a reminder that he is new to the QB position and is raw. He’s not a guy that should be expected to start on day 1 in college. There are a lot of fundamentals he needs to work on, but the reason he’s a highly rated 5 star is his ceiling is so high. He said that’s the kind of guy he wants over someone that just performs well at camp.

Just a bit of expectation tempering there imo. Could definitely see Milton starting next year and Nico coming on during the season or starting the next. Of course we can’t forget about TJ

Milton would have to show substantial improvement to get starts. He can’t continue to put Tennessee in bad spots and expect to play. Freshman make silly mistakes he’s been around far to long to do that.

Elite 11 is such a dumb competition to determine who is the best QB, so many busts come from that group

Brian Maurer’s handler on here turned him into Aaron Rodgers based on his decent showing in that glorified Punt, Pass & Kick competition. 😎

Nico also doesn't really do the camp circuit. He plays in a lot of 7 on 7 tournaments, but not camps. Saying this to say that the camp setting and specific drills are foreign to him. Not worried at all.

He literally said that camp was good for him, because he’d never done those drills before and would be practicing them back home in advance of the finals.
