Good x and o's coach, draws up a creative offense, still not sure how those guys get all those offensive rebounds, usually coaches in the 3 piece suit,

Kind of reminds me of Daddy Farquhar from the Beverly Hillbillies series

Buzz is very humble. I really don’t think he will last long at A&M unless he starts recruiting better. If you keep his two guards in front of you they struggle to score. Tennessee punched back last night against their bully ball and put a beat down on the aggies of epic proportion.

Wasn't his fault that the refs didn't call the technical on him. Nothing would be said about this if they had just done there jobs. He was probably sitting there thinking that was stupid. How in the world did I not get a technical there?
I agree. I also would have been pissed at the refs for not giving me the timeout in the first place. He did try before going onto the court. It was dumb of him to be on the court.

When a team shoots at a lower than normal percentage, sometimes the defense can take credit, but sometimes not.

But on offensive rebounds last night, we limited them to nearly half of their nation-leading 40 percent rate.

Take a bow for outstanding effort, guys!

Buzz has always seemed like a genuine coach. I know he’s very intelligent and well read. I read somewhere he regularly gives books to his players and coaches to read. Our team is well read too. I guess that’s what impresses me the most.

Just watched his post-game press conference. No excuses or coach speak. Made sure to congratulate Rick Barnes on win number 800.

Thank you for posting this, Jersey Moonshine*. I learned a lot from it. Before Buzz would respond, you could almost watch him translating in his head from coach speak to lay English.

That's a tough roster accommodation to have to make, to depend on getting to the foul line for all your offensive scoring potential to be productive. He didn't mention it, but I'd guess they could easily get fatigued without frequent foul shot game stoppages. Wonder if that contributed to our second half explosion?

* (Sadly, from what I hear, "Jersey moonshine" could just be a euphemism for most of Jersey's groundwater. Be a blessing up there, JM! )
