Maybe I missed it, but Cincinnati is just around the corner, right?

I did some research and saw that their QB Greg Windham had an offer from Cincy when Butch was still around.

I would assume Butch knows exactly what type of team/players we are up against.

Butch knows a LOT of freaking people in football. From the NFL down. He has recruited and worked with all kinds of names. He is deep in football. I expect 0 problems from this game. It would just be a hell of a lot more fun if it was in Athens.

Seeing as Cincy and Ohio haven't played since 1981, I doubt he spent too much time concerned about their schemes. Slight recruiting battle maybe, but not that much.

Butch hasn't been prepared for adjustments on any given Saturday for his entire tenure. Better hope he doesn't have to make adjustments tomorrow.

But Central Michigan did and Butch beat them and Solich in the MAC championship a few years back. Not too much before Kiffin almost lost to them with a UT squad.

Ok, well VT beat Ohio State in 2014 and Ohio State won the title that year. We beat VT last week, so boom national champs!!!! All of this is irrelevant and stupid just like the info presented in this thread.

But really how long ago was that?

Is akin to saying Butch knows all about Austin Peay and South Alabama because we played them in 2013 except ten times worse.

Butch also beat Virginia Tech once as coach of Cincy.

People might agree with you guys if it wasn't for the fact Butch talked about his familiarity with Ohio and coach Solich in his pressor this week. That must not be a fact even though it happened.

Yes, it has nothing to do with current iteration of Ohio. Never said it did. The program, area, and Coach, it does

I don't necessarily agree with the OP. I just think the poster saying Butch doesn't know anything about Ohio bc Cincinnatti hasn't played then since 1981...has nothing to do with fact that Butch played them 6-9 years ago and was recruiting some of the same players at Cinci that Ohio may have now on their roster 3-4 years ago...but it must be impossible for Butch to havea little familiarity with them...more than he would Tenneseee Tech, for example

And nobody called you stupid...nor was it necessary for you to call something stupid....it's a message board...people post info and questions (and random thoughts)

I never said he knows the current team. Point was made that he is somewhat familiar with the program and coach. He absolutely is.

Butch said this himself this week and was asked about it. Don't know what the big deal with you guys is today. People are just talking.
