Butch just said we could see some John Kelly in the Wing T formation and Majors helped implement it. 👀 On Vols Calls tonight.....thoughts on this??? I am all for this honestly.

He mentioned that Coach Majors was there teaching concepts about the Wing T. He said John Kelly was playing some good football and we could see him in some three back sets.

oh hell I hope not...the Wing T is not something you just put in as a wrinkle...you have to run the system over and over to get it down...our HS ran it and CN used to run the Veer..players are too quick for those systems to work in the SEC

Butch also said he's heard the classes taught at the University of Florida seem to have something to do with ducks pulling trucks.

In another surprising comment while acknowledging Florida had a good defense he stated that was okay because we have a good offense.

He was kind of on the juice tonight. I kept waiting to see if he would say something like "Florida sucks" or WGWTFA. He seemed pretty confident; said we've had the best week of practice this season.

I just hope Butch can keep up with Johnny if we win Sat. You can bet Johhny will have a Jack Daniels barrel on standby

Butch seemed more relaxed tonight, maybe even confident. Kind of took a shot at Florida which is something I've never heard him do. I'm liking it

It's got to be personal and no one takes more crap than jones ! From us media and his own ambitions and he has put his heart into this and it's go time!

Would be nice to see him relaxed more often. Easier said than done for some I suppose. To each his own. I for one really respect that dude and effort he's put into clawing back to the top.

My high school runs and runs it very well and I just cant see this OL blocking for the wing T. Hell they already look confused enough without adding to it. I would just rather see them line up in the power set like they did a few times against NW.

Yep agree...you gotta run it over and over..won't work as a play every now and then.

I like the idea of downhill running behind downhill blocking.

Show the formation and see how the handle it, they may spend too much time on it since they are just hearing about it.

Those dirty gators got their hands full.
