Tweet from VolQuest twitter account....

The boss @Brent_Hubbs with an interesting update in Destin. Butch Jones changes course, green lights some 7v7 work.

I think this is really good news. Jones reversing course on a pretty firm policy he's had since he's been here. Can't do anything but help the QBs and WRs develop good rapport over the summer imho.

Not certain. Jones has had a firm stance against it for a long time. Concerned with potential injuries outweighing the benefits maybe? I don't know. Perhaps it was more Azzani's influence?

Cool.

It will be fun to watch in the Fingers fall practice reports, hopefully media will get to see some of it

Could be Good or Bad??

If last year had not been the all Time injury record in human history...??

Doing the same things the same way, expecting different results..,,

Glad to see more change. And this may be the most drastic one, that deals directly with CBJ and his style.

This is the smart move. Look at what playing it safe in the off-season last year got us. Injuries can happen at any time but time has to be built...and you can't build it against air.

Pretty much everybody else in the country allows their QBs and WRs to do 7 on 7 in the country, so I agree, what can the injury risk really be? Nobody else seems to think it's an issue. Just glad Jones is finally allowing our guys to do it...I think it does nothing but help build much needed chemistry.

Is Butch learning from his mistakes (i.e. assistant coach/staff loyalty, S&C emphasis, etc.)? If he is, that's a great sign for a coach.

It really is starting to feel really different around here and I like it. The players say he's more relaxed, which I think is a big step forward as well.

Well I really hope and think we can't have more injuries than we did last year. Why not? Let's get these guys on the same page with timing and reads, especially if we might be more pass oriented this season.

Hope he checked with Coach Rock first. Not like we have a history of injuries affecting a season...

I would like to think that S&C has improved and this might be why Butch is comfortable in allowing it.

This isn't aimed at you, Behr...just in general.

Why is it that every time a new S&C coach is hired he's the greatest thing since sliced bread but when he leaves he's the reason for every injury?

All off-season last year this place was buzzing with how jacked the team looked, etc.
