I know his annual pay doesn't really work this way, but his 4.11 million a year equates to $11,260.27 each day of the year. Since they say that college football is a year round job every day of the week with no breaks.........

Do you think Butch is producing $11,260.27 worth of quality work each day?

Compared to what we had the 6 years for him, YES.

I hate KIFFIN but he has us with no more than one loss right now.

Guy almost beat Bama with a team that had less than one third of our current talent.

You have no way of knowing that. That 2009 team could've been or should've been a 9 win team, he's not even relevant to bring up at this point. You're just cranky and butt hurt. You have zero credibility because everyone knows what your shtick is here in regards to everything that has transpired this past week. Butch almost Bama last year. So the **** what? Kiffin lost to a bad UCLA team and got blown out by a VPI team that wasn't that good.

He gets paid that kind of money and is afraid to pull a QB who consistently gives the ball to the other team ? lol I hope he grows into a coach that will bench you if your not playing winning football!

However, he has to pay 6.45% FICA (on the first $118,500 of annual salary) and 2.35% on all that money!

Cracks me up all these guys out here on the clock fuming over a guy making a few million bucks as he doesn't meet their standards. Ok, what is their standard? Be better than Bammer who pays a guy right around $10 million per year. Their dysfunction in this area is why they're on the clock rather than making a few million per year IMO. Point being you are paying a guy a beer budget and expecting him to deliver against his competitors who are swimming in pools of champagne. He may end up doing it, has not yet, but quit complaining about $4 million per year guy when it takes a $10 million per year person to consistently win in the SEC seems to be the going rate.

I don't feel head coaches are overpaid. It is a risk reward deal. They work 12 hour days 7 days a week all but a few days a year for 20 years. They are reaching the peak of their career at about 40-45 years of age. They are held to unrealistic performance criteria. Most get only one shot at these high salaries and don't make it more than 3-4 years before it is over. They then fall back to a mid level job still working 12 hour days. The fortunate few get a coordinator job or a second chance HC. Coaching is a win or walk career.
Median HC compensation is about 2 million
