On Vol Calls tonight Butch was asked about his experience as a visiting coach in Neyland when he was with Cincy. His response was extremely cool!

He said when they first entered the stadium for the walk through, he had to remind his players that the game would be played on the field because they couldn't stop looking at the stands.

Then, he said he looked over at someone on his coaching staff and said, "I'll be the head coach at this place some day." What an amazing leader! I want to win BIG sooooooooooo bad because I hope Butch is our HC for a very long time!

Someone remind Dave Hart to never schedule a home-and-home with Michigan.

He was already the head coach at that place. There was also another head coach at that place :)

JK I really do as well because of how much he is pouring into this program. He really cares about the program.

Meh, the big house really isn't that impressive when compared the most other mega stadiums. It is low with a huge footprint. It's kind of like the biggest kid in school that grew up to be 5'8" tall and 310lbs of pure Crisco. The whole place was in worse shape than the back side of Neyland when I saw is a few years back. I was near Ann Arbor so I had to just go look at it.

I want Butch to get a big time win so bad. I want it for me as a fan of course because of what we've had to endure even before he got here.

I want him to feel secure and I want the fans to brag about their coach for the first time in a while. Butch needs that in my opinion. No doubt, the man has worked exceptionally hard the first 2 1/2 years.

Go Vols!! Get the big one!

I said the same thing gazing upon Neyland.

Then I remembered that I knew absolutely nothing about coaching and gave up.
Glad they went with CBJ instead.

First time I was in Ann Arbor I drove to the stadium, I thought I was looking at a Juco operation. LOL

On FB Saturdays the Big House is full of nearly dead blue hairs, homeless looking old men and fat drunk coeds.

If he can get that BIG WIN, it will open the flood gates like a crack in Hoover damn! There will be no stopping from that point. Good grief look at the recruiting he is doing already. Imagine how good it can be with 10 + win seasons again!!!

Very Glad he is our coach! Win or lose this weekend! I really think we win this game. OK did not look good against crappy Akron last week. 2 Freshman starting on the O line. K Mac is hungry so feed the big fellow!!!

I don't buy that statement for a second. Look how intense CBJ is during game day and cliche/moderate he is towards anyone leading up to the game day. I doubt he looked at a coach, with his team preparing for an SEC opponent that was down and could've been a huge win for Cincy, and this statement being made.

He says things like this, as you can see, because they "work".

With that said, I'm sure as hell glad we have him as a coach. I think he has done as well
or better than a large majority of any other viable coach we could've hired.

I remember that visit. Butch was so complimentary and respectiful of UT's traditions and place in college football history. His point was kind of different than any other visiting football coach that I had ever heard before, so I totally buy into him seeing UT as a destination job that he would love, and be proud of, the opportunity to some day be a HC here.

I hope he doesn't have a stroke or heart attack, he just seems so all-consuming intense 90% of the time. If he's not taking high-blood pressure medicine he needs a double-dose IMO. Would like to keep him for awhile.
