0% chance this is happening. Why would Oregon fire a coach who went to a national championship game to then hire one who can't beat Vandy or South Carolina?

Journalism is a poop now.

There is no consequence for posting false information. Everything is about getting the scoop. Even if the scoop is a lie, don't apologize. Keep trying to get the scoop until it's the real thing. Eventually you'll be right. And everyone will ignore the other half dozen times your "sources" gave you secret intel that was simply made up. Or you were actually your own source.

The desperate need for immediate information regardless of truth has made actual fact finding obsolete.

Knowing Basilio, he would really, really have to be pretty certain to even tweet that in the first place. I realize that he retracted the tweet but there's got to be something to this. He's not a "go out on the ledge" for retweets kind of guy. He doesn't want to ruin his reputation.

If it is true, I've heard Les Miles is very interested in UT. I'm for that as long as he gets a better OC than what he had at LSU. He did beat Alabama or played them close throughout his tenure there.

I've never been impressed with Miles as a coach. He had INSANELY talented teams that played underachieving, undisciplined football and never had an offensive identity. Plus he's not a very good game manager himself. His terrible game management cost him bowl wins against Clemson and Penn State and it almost cost him the game against us in 2010, had it not been for us putting 15 men on the field on the last play of the game.

The best thing I can say about Miles is that he managed to maintain the high recruiting standard that was established by Saban. However Louisiana is absolutely stacked with talent and most all of it wants to go to LSU. I'm not so sure that Miles would have the same recruiting success here at Tennessee.

Easy peasy for a Champion of Life....

Making a comment about, or blasting Butch for the "Champions of Life" quote is great. Using it as an attempt at humor anymore is lazy. Joke has run its course. It is the Butch cut downs eqivelant of The Macarena

Nearly everyone outside of the tennessee fanbase disagrees with you. Unfortunately, that one will last a while.

The Butch cut downs will only get old when the same one is used too many times. But no worries, Butch has an endless supply he will keep giving out as long as he is at the helm here. In this I have full faith.

On ESPN radio they were discussing that McElwain and Oregon might have some mutual interest. He's a West Coast guy and according to the ESPN guys he's not real comfortable in Gainesville.

A crap-sucking, bottom-feeding carp would be uncomfortable in Gainesville.
