Year 1
Butch tells everyone to win in the SEC that you have to run the ball and play defense. He inherits one of the best O-lines in the SEC. Plays a pocket passer in the spread who never keeps the football. Shows no one anything in the first year but we are building brick by brick.
Year 2
Same thing as year 1. UF is awful but Butch loses again.
Butch says Dobbs is not ready to start. Dobbs comes on in the bama game after Worley gets hurt. Does a great job and we go to a bowl game. Dobbs was not ready?
Year 3
Butch hires Debord from behind a desk to be the OC.
Butch loses to Oky., Arky. and UF because of very poor game decisions and time management. He tells us that the Vols have to learn how to finish. The team should have been 12 -1 that year. We beat one team with a winning record (GA) and they fired Richt at years end.
Year 4
We start off having trouble with teams like Appy. ST., VTech and Ohio!? RED FLAG! We continue to get outscored in the first half by a couple of TDs. It takes a hail mary to beat a bad GA. team. TA&M same deal. Fumble 7 times but we spotted them 14 first half points Still no fix. We need to drop bama and go on rotation like everyone else. USC game is the final nail. UMass scored 28 points the previous week on SC and we score 21 . Every game the rest of the year is a tossup and that includes Tenn. Tech. Buyout is probably too much to get rid of this pretender because Hart keep giving him an extension for beating bad teams (sometimes).

Love the Vols but not Butch and Debord.

Agree with you except Alabama.

I am tired of the Chicken Little mentality. I want to be the best not run from them!!!!!!!!

Playing AL every season is a liability. It is a certain loss year in and year out, which diminishes our already slim chances of making it to SEC Championship as it is.

I do not agree that it is a certain loss every year. I think Butch probably loses to them every year, but I do not want to run from anyone.

Getting to SEC champ game will not mean much if lose to them in the game anyways.

I can not stand to talk about them, I even got rid of all my clothes that was even close to their color, because it made me think of them.

You want to be a quitter and have lower expectations, go ahead, but not me.

If we never become the best, I do not want to say I didn't quit trying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm laughing because we can't fire Butchy with that insane contract. So Volnation welcome to mediocrity. Schools are going to start scheduling us for homecoming.

Tennessee fans did not see this coming after the Appy State game? Whistling past the cemetery. Most other fans realized what team 120 was early in the season.

Don't worry,though. The schedule is still weak enough for 9-3. Good bowl game draw: 10-3.
