A few notes:

-Evan Berry is out for the season with a knee injury. Tyler Bryd, John Kelly, Marquill Osborne and Micah Abernathy are guys who will get looks at returning kicks this week.

-Devonte Brooks has moved to the offensive line.

-Will look at matchups this week to determine which five will start on the offensive line. Thought the line got better last week.

-Cam Sutton will practice today. Not sure if he's game ready. Will know more Wednesday.

-Alvin Kamara will practice today. Will also know more Wednesday. He's a little ahead of Cam.

-Nigel Warrior is competing for a starting spot. Really pleased with his progression. He has great closing speed and is very physical. The game changes when he's back there at safety. Starting to see his involvement more on special teams as well.

-Marquez Callaway is always catching punts and kickoffs at practice. (Didn't comment on if we will see him on the return team this week.)

-Paul Bain did a really good job on Saturday. He's nursing a slight ankle sprain but was really pleased. He works every day and does a great job. He has some ability.

Put Callaway back there returning kicks.

Not saying Evan is replaceable by any means, but I'm interested to see what Callaway can do against a higher level of competition.

Brooks to Oline?

Hall or Kendrick not well then. Otherwise, why comment on a redshirt. Offseason move.

Is Evan Berry hurt, or did he up and quit the team?

Too soon? :pilot:
Get well soon, Evan

I'm happy for Bain and many others. Wish we could have gotten big leads early in some of our earlier games....i.e. appy st. ohio and got them more meaningful reps. UT displayed good team chemistry against Tn. Tech. Pass defense is what UT needs to fix more than anything IMO.

Bain was 1st to lose his stripe last year. Should have been getting a few snaps. What's the point of depth if you aren't going to play it.

Any reporter have the fortitude to ask him about the "F&$!em all" comments?

Another reason to shake my head over Hurd's selfishness. Teammates are going down with injuries and yet you aren't happy because it's not about you. I know, I'm done with it. Time to move on.

John jelly should have been returning all year. The only reason I know of that he wouldn't is you are trying to keep him healthy.

Also, didn't Kamara just get his knee rebuilt? That's amazing. Don't tell me we have a s and c problem. That's stupid.

This guy was suppose to be the next big thing at TE

I read that he was a 3 star that had the same knee cost him two seasons. Lots of "drop him" talk on here. Heard the promising chatter...negatory on the "next big thing". I think you made that up. :)

Brooks is an athletic freak. I don't know if you saw any of the drills from camp, but he would have been an imposing weapon, blocking and catching. Maybe he has put on weight, but usually guys that are big TEs project better to defensive end.

Just seems weird to comment on a guy who is redshirting. Too me, it seems like Jones is avoiding announcing a serious injury to Kendrick or Hall, both of who limped off the field and didn't return Sat. If they have to burn a redshirt on a guy going thru a position switch due to injury, geez. I'd like to know the status on Hall and Kendrick.
