While I've had my share of issues with Butch the last couple if years, you can't deny that he's been great at getting his team ready to play over a long layoff (see Bama game with two weeks).

Yesterday's performance in what was basically a meaningless exhibition game was stunning. I thought we'd out talent NW no matter what... Probably to the tune of 14 points.

The boys were focused and determined.

Butch has always been good at laying out a game plan but not at adjusting to the game. Well, I think he's getting better. I also think DeBord is adjusting to today's game as well.

If we stay healthy, Butch and DeBord continue to grow together then next year at could be special.

Really, all Dobbs has to do is become a slightly above average passer. And the receivers need to stay healthy and run disciplined routes. 10 wins should be a lock. 2016 should be a fun year

You have to like our chances when Butch has longer than normal to prepare, no doubt. He always has his teams prepared.

We have definitely played two of our best games in the post season! Congratulations VOLS for the outstanding performance . GBO!

I was talking about this to my girlfriend last night. Our bowl performances these last two years have arguably been our most impressive outings under Jones.

You are what your record and your stats say you are . . . he's dramatically improved this program from where it was. We've had a few bumps along the way, and one can see where leaps in progress (including coaching) have occurred. But, I can't argue with performance, and yesterday was a nice way to cap off the season.

You can't just automatically minimize the accomplishment though based on the result.

We just beat the living hell out of a 10 win, Power 5 team. No...they clearly weren't as athletic as we were, but they weren't some directional school either. That was a quality opponent.

C'mon man.. We smashed another team, so thy HAVE to suck. I mean, we r obviously no good

...a program that was the vandy of the big 10 for decades, a doormat. They've gotten better in recent years--much like Vandy--when they've had a good coach. They are well-coached, but their passing game was very "untalented." The cats certainly don't get many elite prospects.

Yeah, but that direction applies to where they were located 150 years ago, so they're not directional anymore. :)

Agree with the other poster regarding not playing down to competition. There was a time under another coach where it seemed like we were always wound too tightly for the games that mattered and too loosely against inferior teams.

We get the regular season sorted out like we have the bowl games, we will be very good.

They were ranked #12, won 10 games and beat Stanford. What's the point of minimizing who they are as if we just beat Kentucky?

For those of you knockin' the talent of our bowl opponents... remember that we are going to out-talent everyone on our schedule next year except for Alabama, and we'll be on par with Georgia and A&M. Better talent than Florida for the first time since 2005.

Oh, I don't think there's any doubt that they wouldn't have won 10, but at the same time, they did best Stanford who is a lot better than any win we had, so who knows?

I'm guessing the Citrus Bowl is wishing they could've paired Michigan vs. UT. Had we won vs. FLA or OU, we would've seen a more interesting matchup. Not knocking what we accomplished yesterday though. It was a solid win and a good performance.

More talented or not it was a great win along with the Taxslayer win. We now have...
Back to back blowout bowl game wins.
Best power rushing attack in forever, forever is not literal.
The depth talent is coming back.
The stadium is filling up with fans.
Zero blowout losses this year.
Wins have increased every year under CBJ.
Players don't give up and do not get pushed around anymore.
And Tennessee is winnning against ranked teams, not consistent yet but moving that way.

We as fans need to enjoy this off season. Those 4 heart breaking losses are painful but way better than getting blown out. 9 wins is only a let down to those stuck in the 90's. Our players are not talking about making it to a bowl game anymore. They are eyeing the playoffs. That's what's up.
