The more I sit and think the more I'm pissed. He should have had the east wrapped up. No excuse for losing to SCjr. He needs to stop complaiNing and act like a man.

If you had worked as hard as Jones has to rebuild the program wouldn't you? All I ever hear from the fan base is that he should be fired.

The haters don't want to admit it, but the loss of Sutton, JRM and Kirkland had a huge impact on the D. A&M would likely have been a win.
He deserves some criticism for the lack of consistency this year,but all the "fahr Butch" BS is ridiculous.

Yeah, I think so, but he does give the ammo by not having the team ready after a bye with the east in the line.

Alot of people forget where we were before he got here and the work he has put in to bring us where we are now.

He deserves criticism for the offense taking 2 steps backwards this year. Last year, the offense could consistently convert 3rd downs, start games focused and disciplined, and run against everyone. This year, the o-line has been disgustingly horrible, Dobbs has regressed, the playcalling is not reflecting the team's strengths, and we come out flat every single game.

It's worse than that. He hasn't had the team prepared for any game this season.

If Butch doesn't realize that he has underperformed this season, then that is delusional. I give him good marks for the first three seasons, but an F for this one. And, no, he shouldn't be fired. He just needs to continue improving.

The man makes 4.1 million dollars a year. Time for him to grow up and act like a coach in the SEC.

If Lyle can't stand the heat, he needs to get out of the kitchen.

He never came out and directly said this numbnuts..... I heard Hyams and he was reading between the lines of Jones' comments.

He didn't put on some kind of jilted girlfriend display.

On the one hand, he's turned the program around and it's in a better place.

On the other hand, his record against SEC competition is 12-17.

I don't know if he thinks that's going to get him a statue or not, but he should know better.

When you get paid $4M+ and coach in the SEC you lose the right to complain about fans. It's further proof this level of football is over his level of comprehension. The problem is he's never been at a major P5 school with tradition, expectations and passion, save for 2 yrs at WVU. Nowhere he's coached prepared him for what he faced, faces and will face at a school like UT.
