If the ncaa does decide to take some sort of action against UT, I hope they confuse Butch Davis with Butch Jones, too.

I didn't know butch's dad was a cop. Makes me think of something else I have often wondered about. Does anyone know Dobbs' major?

dredging, dredging, dredging......throwing the muck that they have around and hoping they score a rich vein of muck.

I guess CBJ took the high road but I would have asked if suspending accused players from the team and not allowing them to play is any different from playing accused players.

Im glad for ole miss and luda's condom issue to draw attention elsewhere. I hate the effing media.

in fairness, it's not the media's fault. could it be covered differently? sure.

but, in the old adage of "don't start nuttin, won't be nuttin", we have failed.

You know, I've heard about the first call. "You've betrayed the team." What about the second. Was it an apology, a misunderstanding, another threat? What? I'm guessing is a clarification and some sort of "standard" apology. I'm thinking Butch was acting without all the information first and then tried to make amends a little later that day when it became clear what was going on. Absolutely not Butch's finest moment, but not illegal or something that deserves this much attention. The potential conflict was resolved adequetly and responsibly with the course of a day. Now if butch had tried to sweep it under the rug, led the coverup, or incited players to show the informant some "tough love", then we need to be looking for a new coach. But if that's the case, let's hear the evidence. It sure doesn't sound like it.

This lawsuit crap is nothing more than a money play, if any type of assault occurred law enforcement should have been notified and investigate the accusations NOT the dang Athletic Department! If all of these women were "assaulted" why didn't they report them to the appropriate law enforcement . . . Am I missing something here?

I hope to God the judge throws this crap out and forces the plaintiffs to pay all legal expenses incurred by UT . . . . As for the accusers - :the_finger:

Most knew your cry baby coach would have something to look small about at spring meetings. We didn't expect him to cry like a baby about his team being drug tested though.
Let's see, all teams are drug tested but he thinks the turd team shouldn't be... hmmmmmmm

The media must hate that no matter how many times this story gets rehashed, it's quickly loosing more, and more steam.

How in the world does this rise to the level of a federal lawsuit if this represents the complaints against UT?
