yeah he gave a verbal committment.

i guess Cut will have to wait a year for a HC gig

Its not a done deal yet. also It not Davis that will keep Jones, its whether Davis keeps a certain asst. coach that will determine where Jones ends up if Davis is even hired.

Davis really wants the Bama job and playing wait and see game.

Chances are still good with Jones. He has already mentioned that UNC hiring Butch Davis will keep him interested in UNC, but will not mean an automatic re-commitment to UNC. Like the above poster stated, it will really come down to what assistant coaches are kept. And, after the season they are having I see Davis brining in a whole new staff.

Is there any chance that we could get CBP to talk to him since apparently he is very interested in playing B-Ball too? It seems he would be a very good fit in our system assuming that he is half way decent a B-Ball.

I heard a great point on the radio yesterday. Why not tell a recruit that he can try out for the BBall team if it means we get a playmaker for the FBall team. Peppers and Curry didn't hurt North Carolina any, so what if all they do is sit on the bench, you still have them for football. :detective:

so Davis is going to UNC? I hope he goes there rather than Bama
