Wow... growing up in Tennnessee he was always talked about as a legendary sheriff that would do anything in the pursuit of justice... this is disheartening to say the least... if he were no better than the crooks he found fame in prosecuting

Yeah, an older friend of mine's father, was a moonshiner in McNairy County during that time, said he was a thug, which knowing the source didn't know what to believe. But then my aunt just told me my grandfather, who was postmaster a couple of counties away (died in '85) called him the "crookedest man there ever was". So, there is that.

This is silly. You can't dig someone up after 60 years and determine if that person was shot outside a vehicle and then placed in it. David and the TBI has much bigger problems to deal with. Lol
