1. A Q1 win, on the road, in conference play...I don’t care if it was only a 1pt win that was on a late shot, you take that and you like it. No it wasn’t the prettiest, no we didn’t look our best, but maybe you take the positive in that? That we didn’t play our best, they played a very good game and yet we won on the road against a tournament team? I’ll take it.

2. Beast effort from Grant Williams, and I like the fact we made an effort to continually get him to it late, good things happen when he touches the ball typically and that was the case late in this one. Jordan Bowden once again struggled but that was a big late shot from him that he didn’t think twice about taking, to me that is a good sign.

3. We are still struggling on offense, a big part of that is simply missing a lot of the perimeter shots we were hitting at a much better clip earlier in the year. Turner and Bowden combine to go 1/8 from deep tonight and in the last 4 games are a combined 5/38 (13%) from deep, that’s obviousiy well below both of those guys season averages. Our assists numbers were better tonight, we had 16 which is much closer to where we have been all year than the previous 3 games.

4. Kyle Alexander had the flu tonight and to me it looked like Jordan Bone was still suffering from it as well, Kyle did have 4 rebounds in his 11 minutes, but we need him back to the good KA we have seen in spurts this year, we are at another level when he’s there. Same for Bone, last game and today he hasn’t had the same energy or continued burst, obviously being sick really makes that tough for someone like him, just need our whole squad to get healthy.

5. Ok so heading into the final 7 I said 4-3 would be just fine, we are sitting at 2-2 with 3 games to play, 4-3 is obviously still attainable with a huge game coming this Saturday in the rematch against Kentucky. The Wildcats very well may be playing better than any other team in the country right now and we all remember the beat down they put on us in Rupp, this will be a huge test for Tennessee but also for Kentucky to prove themselves as well, I think both teams are going to be ready for a war and I expect it to be a great game...hoping we show one of our better performances than we’ve seen in awhile and that it starts us out on a strong finish.

The team and the crowd at TBA need to be the most charged up they've been all season for the Kentucky game on Saturday!

Take any road win! That was a huge win, could have easily tanked. Now they have given themselves a chance at the title on their home court. The winner will be the SEC champ. Its for all the marbles. Doesn't get any better than this and win or lose more big games coming.

It seems to me that opposing teams/coaches are so used to getting calls go in their favor when they play us that they freak out when a legitimate call goes against them.

Kermit, if u don't want fans throwing things on the court, maybe you shouldnt. Overall officiating wasn't terrible but still several phantom fouls called against us, a couple called out on us that were head scratchers and the running theme of unbalanced officiating of contact that took possessions away from us.

I always find it so funny to see the differences in responses of games like LSU and Ole Miss. I mean really the only difference was a whistle at the end of the game.

Road games are tough and a spilt isn't all bad at all.

Saturday decides the success of the regular season. Win and no matter what happens in march it's been a hell of a year. Lose and this team needs a run in the tourney to solidify its team in the history books

Oh good grief. Your comment about Kermit is off base

First 3 buckets were a result of us taking the ball to the basket. We need to continue that. Continue working the ball inside out. Grant is going to continue getting doubled in the post. He needs to be patient and help us win games by taking what the defense gives him.

I wonder if Kermit sees that behavior like throwing his jacket off and whining over calls/non calls on every possession encourages the fans to do things like bombing the court with trash. The fans were just following his lead.

I'll give Kermit at least credit on trying to calm down the students, but as someone at the game I can tell you that I couldn't understand a word he said over the speaker.

You have to admit, there was some irony in the way the events unfolded. I found it funny. He chucks his jacket and then has to beg fans not to throw trash. There is some humor found there.

I thought we were very lucky to get that tie up call with Grant. Can they call a jump ball when you only have one hand on the ball??
