I say no, if he wants to come back, the maybe. I don't think we should actively try and keep him here.

He's the best running back we've got, so yea, I say try and recruit him back.

I think that Tauren Poole will a great back....Oku and Williams look pretty decent as backups...plus we picked up Rajion Neal a 4 star back this class.....I don't think we need BB....

What makes you say he's our best back? I hear a lot of talk that Poole was better than Brown last year but could not get a chance ahead of Brown due to Brown being Kiffin's recruit and Poole was not.

I'd like to keep Brown, but not because I think he's better than Poole. I think it's always good to keep as many good recruits as possible. On the other hand, I don't know that I favor re-recruiting a player that's already on our roster. If the ego is that big, the player is a high risk of becoming a locker room cancer.

This

you don't try to get someone to stay somewhere they don't want to be. This team needs all the positives it can get. even trying to get Bryce to stay would be a negative for the team. many would be upset because he didn't go through spring practice. be very negative.

And this.

Yet Hardesty started every game and got almost 80% of the total carries last year. Who recruited him again?

If they did let him come back, one would hope he would have to start at the bottom and earn his way back onto the field.

Maybe I see things differently here. I just never got the feeling that he's had any real strong feelings towards one decision or the other.

It's not like it would be that difficult. His competition consists of a true freshman, a guy who has only been effective as a kick returner thus far, a guy coming off major knee surgery, and a junior who hasn't accomplished anything of significance to date.

In the article did it say that Bryce's dad thought Arthur got his playing time at Miami cut because Bryce didn't sign there?

If so, that's all I need to know about their father...

EDIT: Here's the quote.

Brown informs Dooley that’s he’s leaving the team. Rumors suggest that his father wants him to return to Kansas and join his brother at Kansas State. His brother left Miami because his playing time was cut after Brown signed with Tennessee. At least that’s their father’s opinion.

I personally think you try because if he busts his butt and proves himself if he comes back, the team will likely forgive.

But honestly, if it gets to a point where you try to spend too much time actively bringing him back to the nest, you start forsaking recruits and players that actually do want to be here. It's definitely one of those issues where you explore enough to find out if being with Tennessee and his teammates outweighs going back home and the adjustments to the new coaching staff.

But if Bryce makes no connection or consideration to even discuss coming back, then you let him go to a situation that he feels is better and just move on.

If he wants to stay then I say let him stay. I dont see the point in trying to re recruit him though. I am sorry hes already been recruited. He has been in practice and in the locker room with the new coach. He knows whats here for him if he wants to stay. I say let him go if hes not fully into being here. I think he could prove to be a great RB here. But he has to have some want to in him.

Probably the highest recruited running back out of high school to sign with UT ever. Dooley doesn't think he needs to be re-recruited. Probably because he thinks there is a zero chance of him wanting to come back unfortunately.

I hope he doesn't come back....it has been nothing but a circus surrounding this kid since his recruitment....good riddance
