"Both teams ride revamped defenses to Atlanta and each have potent running games and a lot to prove when it comes to their passing attacks. I’ll stick with the Tigers, who I think have more team speed and a better O-line. "

I think If we just grow by a few more passes per game last year with a better D Cord. then we have a chance at 11-1. Here's hoping I'm right!!!!

I think we have a better chance at winning an SEC title if we face LSU instead of Bama. Regardless of the outcome against Bama in October, they always play lights out in big games and I just feel like LSU is a better matchup for us.

We have the advantage in QB play which is a huge, and in special teams. I would honestly say RB is a push, if not just a slight advantage to LSU. And our defenses seem pretty comparable.

Bama just seems like a nightmare matchup and Saban is the superior gameday coach to the Mad Hatter. Sure, some of his risks pay off but for the most part Saban is a lot better at concocting a gameplan over Les. Les is just know for his risk taking.

I would love to meet them in Atlanta and snatch our souls back from that program. They performed some voodoo on us in 01 and we swapped places as programs. They are what we used to be, in purple and gold.

It would be perfect because it would also be the last SEC Title game in the Georgia dome.

So if we beat Bama and Lsu how far does that go in evening the division back out?

Granted the west is still pretty strong I would like to think if Tennessee beats two of the top teams one being the defending national champions I hope it would give some sort of credibility back to the east....

Your hopes might be dashed as soon as you find out Bama gets an invite and the Vols don't even though they won the SECCG. My guess, Gumps will be ranked higher. :) Bama beats Vols, Vols beats LSU... Bama goes.

I said something about that a few months ago and wouldn't be surprised if it happened. At all.

My take, there is a chance, although maybe a small one... the Vols will have to beat Bama three times to win a NC. I would say this is remote, but stranger things have happened and the system is built to allow this to happen. imo

My take has slightly changed... I called (end of last year)for a Vols/Tigers matchup but due to all the injures, I get the edge to Bama right now. I think other than Chad Kelly its really hard to justify saying there is anything but Meehhhhh quarterbacks in the SEC, if Brandon Harris has to put up Chad Kelly numbers LSU isn't going to do squat because that means their defense and special teams has failed.

Hillary Clinton not knowing that she shouldn't be moving government property to her house server comes to mind right off the top of my head. Who would have thought that some idiot doesn't know that?

A 2-loss Bama has a good chance to go to the dance in a 4 team playoff.... Vols not so much. I am not saying all that is going to happen, but really what is so different than what happened in 2011? Not much, 4-team playoff makes it actually more likely a 2 loss Bama gets an invite.

Unfortunately, until they cease to be a continual NC contender year in and year out, this is probably true.

Would still like to see a LSU/UT SECCG though. Still haven't figured out that voodoo that was put on us in the '01 game, but I'm ready for you guys to have it back. :p
