Nope ... it's not Dobbs. It's not Hurd. It's not Trevor Daniel.

It's Derek Barnett.

I love Barnett but come on. Yes he dominated the 2nd half but he hasn't had much production during the start of the year.

Solid is solid. Solid is not Heisman. That says, if he keeps playing like he did in the second half yesterday, I think it could be justified.

DB has put so much pressure on QB's this year. It may not state in the stat sheet but he has been a game changer this year. He and the defensive line took over that game yesterday. It was unreal to see.

I like the pick. Defensive players should get more consideration for the Heisman and Barnett is one of the best 10 players in college football right now. That said, he has no real chance at the Heisman, not only because he's a defensive player but also because other teams constantly double-up on him, which means he doesn't post as huge stats as he might otherwise. His impact on the game, however, is huge since our opponents have to focus heavily on him, thereby providing more openings to our other D-linemen.
