Seems like a no win situation. Keep Haslam in charge and we're just rearranging the deck furniture moving out Currie with another Haslam stooge.
Let Fulmer take over and then what? Wasn't he on board with Doeren, who at best was on par with Butch. I would assume we'd be down to trying to unite the fans with by bringing in a UT guy like Tee. There'd be a honeymoon period while Tee learns on the job. But there were much better candidates out there if we had competent leadership and were willing to pay $6-7 mil from the beginning.
I don't like either option, but if it meant getting Haslam out of the picture I'd go with Fulmer. But personally, despite the current dumpster fire, I think Haslam stays in control for the same reason he's in control now....$$$$$.
