I think it’s just to let people know “hey I’m retiring/quitting due to injury not because I didn’t try or couldn’t made it to the NFL” just sounds better lolOk, dumb question but what does medically retire from football mean when you've graduated from college and not playing professionally?
Is there some perk? Able to get disability or something? I could see if you're in college and you retire and the school has to keep you on as long as you stay academic sound.
I really liked watching him play, a unique WR. Really sad what happened. Feels like the Tennessee South Carolina game has featured a lot of big time, career altering injuries (Hendon Hooker, Marcus Lattimore, etc)
