Broken Bells

Any Broken Bells fans on here?

It's a side project of James Mercer of The Shins and Brian Burton, best known as Danger Mouse.

Going to their concert tonight. I've seen video of their live performances, and they sound just as good as their recordings. Which I think is a true measure of a good band.

Not typically the kind of music I really like, but I like their sound.

Maybe I just like Danger Mouse's work. He's produced some good albums that are on different points of the spectrum.

I have Sirius and they play them on 21 a lot. I have heard the first two songs and like em.

Not sure if they would be an entertaining concert though. Slower paced songs.

The club they are playing tonight is a good venue for them. Kind of a chill place...

Although good, I just don't think the work on this album comes anywhere close to Chutes or Oh, Inverted World by The Shins. Those albums were in my personal Top Ten of the Aughts, so maybe I'm just biased....
