I couldn't say for sure, but I assume the biggest buyout payment figure is for Butch. He comes off the payroll in January (if memory serves me correct) so maybe we could afford it.
Edit - turns out it's February, not January.

Not sure about when Butch comes off our payroll, but the fact that Jones hasn’t gotten any serious looks at another legitimate coaching job (HC or even a coordinator or position coach) tells you everything you need to know about how much of a joke that guy was - and how stupid we were to hire him, much less pay him millions.

I’d say that we should move on but I look at where we are and where we seem to be going and it looks depressingly familiar.

Don’t forget about the last 3 AD’s and the last Chancellors also that are no longer in there roles of last couple years.

A quick google search shows his contract expires Feb. 28, 2021. So he will be off the books, paid in full, Feb 28 next year.

Dont think this will work out.... I think the fact that Pruitt is insecure ( in a butch jones kind of way ) is starting to creep out and that's not good. What he did Sunday night in firing Brumbaugh is quickly making its rounds through coaching circles, you don't treat people like that and expect successful, strong minded people to come work for you.

People also point to wanting to fire Chaney, well hate to say it but Pruitt is stuck with him and he better start showing some faith in Chaney and let him do his job because no one is coming here to be OC.

Yea. Dead horse but I’ll beat it anyway...He didn’t build Cincinnati- he inherited it and made no improvements. He was a follower not a leader. Just a poor job on the AD’s part in assessing abilities.

Stop. TN is the 5th most valuable program in the SEC. Some think we are some mid major program with no money. TN could easily afford Marion Hobby.

I never said we didn’t have any money. But what I am saying when has UT shelled out money for a top tier coach? Till that happens will then we will resemble a mid tier team.

Nah but it still counts for the bottom line for the school and when it comes to spending who do you think approves these hires based on money. Someone will make a decision not to spend top money for a top coach and instead try to find one at a dollar tree and we get what we get!!

Chaney and Ansley count? Maybe not liking their recent results, but at the time of their hire they were top shelf.

Chaney And Ansley was top shelf because they didn’t have players with 5* hearts. They actually had top shelf athletes. Makes a difference. We have seen just how good Chaney has coached our Offense up and well our defense couldn’t stop Kentucky. And what’s scary is that Arkansas and Vandy still on the docket for this year.
