Well, at LSU, Oregon is still starting with more pieces to the puzzle than Butch did. Butch was hired to resurrect the dead, starting with exhuming the body himself. So, in that sense, no one did anything wrong by believing in the brick-by-brick mantra. You gotta start somewhere to build a mansion, and brick-by-brick makes sense when you're building up from a dirt floor. But over the past four years, CBJ has recruited far enough talent to have had us in the SEC championship game, injuries or not. He's had a coaching nightmare occur with Shoop that no one could've seen coming. But what really bothers me is that Shoop has allowed 1900+ yards over 3 games to the worst teams in the east, and for that, deserves the axe. I'll give DeBord a pass because he's done just enough this season to help up pull out the wins, especially in this last 3 game stretch. I'm for giving CBJ one more year with a new AD, hopefully Blackburn, provided he cuts ties with Shoop and tries to fix this. After next year, he should be out if we're not in the championship game. 5 years is more than gracious enough at a program like UT's to show results after recruiting the way he has. I've officially gone into "prove it to me mode." I'm gonna probably get roasted for that opinion, but I'm a little more patient than some people on here.
