No, that one play wasn’t the reason they lost. However, it was a glaring example of bad coaching. Brian Kelly is not an elite level coach. Never has been. That one play call was pure lunacy.

In todays football, having an elite QB and offense is a must to be able to hang with the elite teams.

Even Saban had to adapt.
