He was on Dan Patrick's radio show and he said last year he turned down a "major BCS school". Does anyone know who he was talking about?

I doubt it's ND since they aren't in a conference.

Never mind, overlooked the "last year" part. Fail.

cinci's stadium has 30K seats. he'd be a complete idiot to not go to ND if offered.

Couldn't have been UT. I believe he was damn near begging for us to offer him.

Not so sure about that. I could swear I read something that said Kelly withdrew from consideration for the UT job after his son told him he didn't want to move to TN.

How many major jobs were open? I was kind of thinking he was talking about us.

I hope he goes. Cincy fans here are talking like they are an elite program. They keep mentioning big wins over great teams which I am yet to see.

Do you really consider Miss St a major school? Clemson named Dabo pretty quickly after the firing of Bowden I think. Auburn could be the only one other than us.

And I don't even remember hearing him linked to Auburn at all. If it was us, I'm happy if that's how we got Kiffin. Kelly's solid but I seriously doubt he'd have the impact CLK's had.

Maybe they'll come back to Earth after Florida destroys them in the Sugar Bowl.

Unless Kelly can follow the Urban Meyer example and win with what ND has on hand (kids who were recruited to play a pro-style offense), this just does nto make much sense. It is going to take Kelly a few years to recruit the types of players he needs to execute his spread option.

You're pretty lucky that that's the case and they don't play Ohio State...you would get really tired of the talk after that

Also, Kelly is reportedly interviewing with Notre Dame tomorrow.

I seem to recall that Louisville fans were pretty high on the horse a few years ago. Haven't heard from 'em in awhile though.

Brian Kelly was as close to getting the UT job last season as Fulmer is to the ND job this year.
