I think @The Original Fade is a good poster but his mancrush on Dan Mullen isn't enough to qualify him as a P5 source...
This is nothing more than sensationalistic hyperbole. If this source doesn’t think that every Power 5 conference is going to “immediately” follow the MAC, then clearly there is no consensus among the P5 as of yet and five separate (yet identical) decisions to shutter the season have not been made.
This is nothing more than one man’s incorrect assumption about the fate of the season.
I don't think it's really saying a decision has been made, just that one decision is by far the most likely one
You are correct. This falls on Congress not doing anything for liability protection. Until something changes this would be the right decision for all involved. The schools would be totally foolish to put themselves at risk. The liability issue is a big issue, not just for college football, but for all entities. Businesses keep waiting for our impotent Congress to pass some much-needed legislation, but they are too busy trying to make political points with the press (both sides).
There really isn't data that suggest that any of the athletes should worry about getting the virus.100% survival rate for college and professional athletes. I am not even aware of one of them being hospitalized.
