He won the B1G the last 3 years he was coach at Wisconsin. (68-24; 37-19 overall for 7 years) Left to get away from Alvarez I assume. Maybe Arkansas was just a bad choice to have continued success.

I get the argument of "maybe a coach could do better with more resources," but he posted a 29-34 overall record at Arkansas and is on a 3 game losing streak to Mizzou. I'd be far from happy with that hire.

Let's face it, any coach without a job would do well to hover around Knoxville to see if they can fall over an offer.

There would be evidence if true... dude weighs 400 lbs. Besides, I am not sure he'd be able to trek those hills on campus.

Not advocating we hire. Just saying Ark was a bad choice by him. He had a great record at Wisc. I think prob a much better coach than his Ark tenure.

Ark only successfull stretch by most standards (.700-.800 win%) was from 1958-1989. The coaches Broyles, Holtz, and Hatfield all 3 post .700 or better. That's the only time in ARK history to be over .700. 1 NC for Broyles, last CC under Hatfield in the SWC. Nutt did have 3 Div titles, but that ended in 07 when Saban came in. And Hatfield and Ford were their program killers for violations.

While Beleima may not be the coach for us, who knows, he is a good coach, and made a bad stop at Arky along the way. Had he picked better, he might still be a top choice coach.

That would an awful hire. I would have rather taken a risk on the NC State guy. It would be by far the worst hire of all the schools searching.
