He doesn't even know what's going on in the games that he's currently watching. Why would you expect him to have any insight into what's going to happen in the future?

Musburger has been doing this for 30+ years. I wouldn't immediately dismiss what he has to say. I agree when he says Texas Tech will try to hold onto him. No revelation there.
