BREAKING NEWS: Gran to UTK...(merged)

We can confirm this morning that former Auburn running backs coach Eddie Gran is on his way to Knoxville today and barring any snag with his contract, Gran will join the offensive staff.

Gran, who was actually a GA at Miami when Orgeron was there interviewed with Lane Kiffin before Christmas and earlier this week at the AFCA Coaches convention in Nashville, Gran visited with Orgeron and offensive coordinator Jim Cheney.

Also, we think there is a possibility of more coaching news later day as there is a chance that Kiffin will have his staff complete by the weekend.

One name we are checking on offensively is Frank Wilson who was with Orgeron at Ole Miss. Wilson could coach receivers and was recently hired at Mississippi State.

Adding Gran and Wilson would make this staff a recruiting staff never even thought of being possible.

And for the record Gran has deep connections to the south florida area. Which is so extremely valuable in recruiting...
