Rest that thumb and dont come back too early if it doesnt feel right
Bray, coaches, fan should get no vote. Xray for callus formation is the only important thing. Expect 6 weeks from time of fracture...no matter how Bray feels.
He better be drinkin milk by the gallon! Vitamin D and C, Zinc supplements and a bone stimulator...heck, I would do the bone stimulator at the clinic then recast him everyday. Do not trust him to keep a thumb spica brace on when not supervised...he is money, guard closely, trust no one! Hehe

Flame me if you want but I am sorry if I am the starting QB and my team is dying without me, I brace my finger up, wrap it and get out there and play. I got all off season to rest it I want to wim some games. But maybe that is my old school mentality!
This^that's not old school that's just dumb. His thumb that he uses to grip a football is broken and just had surgery. Risking decreased production, not to mention permanent injury, is not worth it
