For those concerned about Bray's recorded forty time, I urge them to watch this ESPN highlight video. He is actually a good scrambler. I am not sure where his 40 time came from, but I would put him more in the 4.8 to 4.9 range. When he is running the option is this video, he makes some good moves too. :good!:

Bray has a lightening fast release!...Deadly accurate as well...He gets the right O-Line guys around him he is going to be one tough dude to sack...The future is looking brighter everyday.

I don't know why 40 time is such a big deal to folks for a drop back style passer. I could understand for a dual threat qb.

As long as he can drop back quickly, can move in the pocket and throw on time his 40 is irrelevant.

I personally saw Tyler play a couple weekends ago and felt that he had pretty decent foot speed. No speed demon but a pretty good scrambler, did a nice job of feeling the pressure and avoiding it.

He did have about 30 yards rushing in the game I saw, with a nice run (designed play) to pick up a first down. Surprised that he didn't run more in the game but then again no need to run and get hurt. His future is with his arm and not so much his legs.

I was very impressed with his passing abilities. Crisp spirals and a very accurate passer. He made several 20 to 40 yard passes in the game that I saw and this past weekend, he threw a 50+ yard TD pass. I believe his upside potential is huge!

Go Vols!

He does look like he can movie very well but a 4.9 4.8, thats a little unreal. He also was throwing with no pressure, I would like to see some game film. But overall from the stats I have seen he does look like he has amazing up side.

My thoughts exactly! Peyton Manning wasn't very fleet of foot, either. Don't know about his head, but he looks to have all the physical tools to be a good one!

HaHa!

My Daughter is going to UT next fall to play softball.... we will be at the UGA game on her official visit. If you look at my user name.... Calif Lady Vol Fan....

We live in Fresno which is about 30 minutes North of Kingsburg. We went to the Kingsburg vs Washington Union Football game to watch Tyler first hand but I have no connection with the Bray Family!

I dont really expect him to be running too much, so I really don't care too much about how slow his 40 time is

did you watch the game film clip? he was pressured a number of times and broke several tackles. even when he took off running he showed mobility and ability to break tackles. Also, of note, he knew when to slide instead of going head first.

I do, before you say something, realize that this was h.s. film.

Why is that unreal? most nfl lineman can run under 5. I'd say he's more around 4.7 range.

I agree, but a 5.45 forty is like someone running in waders. At that point it can be a detriment. But obviously, after looking at the film, he is not that slow.
