Was walking into the Trec (UT's gym) yesterday and Bray was walking out from playing basketball. To be completely honest if I had not known his face I would have thought he was just an average Joe. Of course he was tall, but he was soo skinny, I did a double take, and so did the buddy I was with.

I am not trying to be negative, bc I know he has talent, but I guess since I saw him a few months ago I envisioned (or maybe convinced myself) that he would have gained weight/strength. With our brand new OL he will be lucky if he does not get broken in half. Being that it is July, I am def now pulling for a red shirt to let him develop, but of course I am no expert. I also have a buddy who works out with the football team, and says he is weighing in at 186..

Just thought some people might want an update

There's no way he weighs 215... I'm 6'6", 180, so i know what a tall, skinny guy looks like. We are just about the exact same size, Seeing him in person before the O&W game.

That extra 35 pounds on somebody as skinnny as us is easily seen, he might be 185-190 at best, and its got to be hiding under his shirt or in his thighs or something.

Maybe the kid's got strong bones, pads will protect him, if he can do the job, I say let him do it skinny, who cares how much the guy weighs, as long as he can take a hit and keep moving.

We will see at fall practice how well a skinny guy can take a hit, he'll be just fine.

I agree, I dont care if he weighs 135 as long as he gets the job done, I too am tall and skinny (6'2' 175), and you are right, that type of weight would show. I expected there to be false reports out there, but trust me 190 max.

he's got to start drinking a lot of mayfield buttermilk, mixed with whey protien, and deep frying everything....

He's got to get off of that cali diet food crap....

But in all honesty, i eat like a pig, drink whole milk with every meal, lots of meat and lots of fatting foods and I never get over 185,,, my weight will vary from 175-185 not matter what I do.

Size, there has always been weight decrepiences in positional matching in football. Pads, training and survival instinct will carry the day. Fear, anger, and frustration control all will contribute intitially to the this kids mental toughness. It is all part of the game.

Work on timing routes with his receivers for about an hour a day and a steady diet of beans, taters, cornbread, buttermilk and venison.

That might do it.

You're screwed if the world descends into a zombiepocalypse.

Dude, that's my worst fear. If we were bitten, we would be the most ferocious zombies simply because we would need to feed at such a rampant rate! Sorry humanity.

Yeah, I had a ridiculous metabolism in highschool and college. People would alway say "just eat more. Eat ____ that'll put on the pounds." People that don't have fast metabolisms have no idea what they're talking about.

Having said that Bray needs to be doing all he can do to bulk up and I'm not so sure basketball is helping that goal.

If it turns out to be that big of a problem, i'm sure someone can get a hold of Peyton for some culinary dishes & training *regimins* that will help the fella out.

In a perfect world he would RS. I remember Manning looking pretty skinny when he first got here. He will put some weight on.
