Tyler Bray has been named starter. I assume it will be official sometime later today. Merge if necessary.

I was about to ask in the other thread when we might hear something. Good news, I completely agree with making the change.

i think most ppl predicted this going into the season. let simms start with such a young line until they improve some and get past the hardest part of the schedule then let bray take over the last month. Bray's going to be good

I totally agree with this! Why not get him more experience. He is our future and this will help him with the game speed at the college level. But don't come back on here and trash him if he has a bad game.

I support the coaching staff's decision. Bray looked impressive. 4-0 in November baby!(not mainly because of Bray, but because we won't play teams like Oregon, Bama, UF, LSU, etc)

Good and our rushing stats will look better too now that Matt "Tuck-n-Fall" Simms isnt playing

Yes exactly, Memphis' Defense is horrible at least stat wise.

Total defense ranked #119 out of 120 teams
Passing D ranked #115 out of 120 teams

Good move! This means DD watched film instead of waiting to see what their performance in practice would be like! They will practice with Bray as starter...no questions! Love it!

I think this is a good call. Maybe not so much due to Simms performance, but mainly due to the way he handled things post game.

We should start looking towards the future anyway!!
