I agree with you about Oku, but Brown will play early and often, IMO.
Brandon Warren had 28 receptions for 301 yards and 1 TD as a freshman at FSU. They had high hopes for him. He played a decent game against Florida in 2006, hauling in 4 catches for 32 yards as a freshman.
That was a pretty good passing offense at FSU that year though. #29 in the country at 233.7 yards per game through the air.
It'll be interesting to see how that talent transfers over to this new system after not really playing a lot for the past 2 years.
Maybe. I haven't exactly heard what coaches have been saying about brown (I know it's good things, but I don't know quite how good). I really don't expect to see him start getting serious snaps till a game or two after the UF game (unless he has a 90 yard TD in the first game or something). Where's he on the depth chart btw? Third right?
Brandon will be a factor if a QB can get him the ball. With all the WR injuries lately its so important that the rest of the WRs have an E.S.P type of chemistry with the QB (whomever it will be).
Until our QBs can show they can throw accurately consistently, our receivers are going to have to be prepared to go fight for tough catches. With BW's size and athletic ability he should be suited for that.
