Was anybody else blown away at how we used BW and how he performed yesterday? He was either under-appreciated last year, or had some divine intervention this spring.

The staff last year admitted to not knowing how to use him in the best way... this staff will exploit him all they can. Expect to see a lot of him this year.

Well, anybody that was supposed to be catching a football was underappreciated last year for the most part courtesy of the horrific QB play. It also appears he wasn't really all that great a fit at TE anyway.

Very true. It is hard, and nearly impossible, to catch a pass that lands either 10 yards behind you or 5 yards in front of you.

I'm definitely a fan of the position changes that the coaches have made this spring. They really are putting the best players on the field.

You are right. He may have been labeled a TE at FSU, but that is not how they used him.

I was really impressed with Brandon Warren. He has a lot of upside. He might still be confused at times, but has lots of athleticism and the ability to make big plays. I was also impressed with how Kiffin would tell him were to go and would run up to the line and tell him things. Kiffin seems to see the potential in him and is making every effort to get it out of him.

Not to be a downer but if Warren is going to get much playing time in a REAL game he's going to need to have that whole "where to line up" thing ironed out.

Not saying he can't or won't...just saying.

Yeah, it definitely seemed like Kiffin is willing to work with him, because BW can be such a great tool for this offense. With the poor QB play that I expect, we are going to need all of the match-up advantages we can get. BW is going to be one hard guy to cover.

Yeah, you could tell he is still learning. His playmaking ability is exceptional. Kiffin seems to have quite a bit of patience with him, so he apparently see's something there. I really believe he will be one of our best WR before the year is over.

When they moved him to WR I immediately thought of David Boston (well minus the steroids). I can't wait to see how he is used this season.

Or he could have kept having off the field issues last year just like he was having this spring.

Yes, but it was completely impossible for him to catch those passes while he was standing on the sideline watching the game, which is what he seemed to spend most of last season doing.

Lots of 3 and outs by an offense can leave a lot of people on the sideline more often. We ran 718 offensive plays last year. That's 64 less than the next worst SEC team MS St.

Brandon Warren played great at FSU, and he would have been great at UT last year if he had been used. His play Saturday wasn't a surprise at all.

I'm not really suprised by this move. The offense need the size that Warren has at WR. Look for his catches this fall open up Jones underneth, and the TE down the middle of the field.

There is not a receiver that has ever lived that would have been "great" at UT last year. The QB position simply would not have allowed it.

so I'll be expecting Jones, Hancock, Warren, and Moore to be the top 4 WR's this upcoming season !
am I correct ??
