I didn’t see us making playoffs w Nico. I have us going 8-4 w/ possibility of 9-3.

Joey hasn’t played in big games like @ FL, @ Bama, UGA and Oklahoma.

Just my $.02 and hope I’m wrong. Either way, I’ll be at Neyland and possibly away games.

I am pessimistic about making the playoffs as well. I don’t really think it’s a great roster. I see one elite player in McCoy (who will be coming off an offseason injury) and a lot of hoping on development everywhere else

I'm not sure what to make of Nico, I was not impressed last year to be honest and I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but why was the playbook not opened up more? Was it Nico not getting it? was it the offensive line not pass blocking well enough? The receivers not being good enough? A combination of the three?

I have many more questions than answers, but if the answers center around Nico then the hit is not going to be as hard as people think and I still think 9 wins is the floor.

Honestly it all depends on the Oline. Defense will still be good imo. Sampson is the key piece that’s gone. You get better Oline play and maybe a game like Arkansas doesn’t get away from you. Florida will be much better this year; their Oline is pretty solid imo and they have a lot of depth at that position. Bama is a huge question mark at Qb. Probably see a better OU team imo at Neyland but I think we can win that one. Nico wasn’t fantastic but he wasn’t terrible either; still even with less from the QB position we can be better on the offensive side of the ball with an improved Oline.

I didn't see us making it either way. If we do, I will be pleasantly surprised.

I didn't expect our Basketball team to make Elite 8 this year as well so that was a pleasant surprise.

I don’t think McCoy will return until later in the season, if at all.

And if he does return, one can’t expect him to be the same player as it takes a good yr to recover from that injury.

Sorry. I must be sleepwalking today. Fixed the title.

I think everyone is down on Tennessee right now with the Nico thing. Stock prices are low. We have talent and a good coach, it may be time to buy at these prices.
I’ll buy at nine wins but not above.

Not pessimistic....it's realistic. Not a chance this roster makes the playoffs this year....none. 8 wins would be a coach of the year season for Heupel.
