Heard on the radio this morning that there are rumblings about him in Knoxville. Does anyone think there is any truth to this? Also, was checking wikipedia and they have him mentioned as a canidate. Now, I know that wikipedia is not very accurate but I wonder why noone has mentioned him here.

Anyone know much about him?

I personally want no part of him because he has like a 30-40 record.

I don't know, took him 5 years to prove himself at Ball State, obviously we should have a lot better recruits then they do, but with that we have a lot tougher opponents. I don't think he will have near 5 years to prove himself if he does get the job.

That would be a complete nightmare. This is the only winning season he has had since at Ball State. His other years at Ball State goes like this: 4-8, 2-9, 4-7, 5-7, 7-6. He is 10-0 this year but look at all the others. Surely Mike Hamilton is a little smarter than this.

Any time you hear "rumblings" of someone being IN Knoxville to meet with Hamilton, it is probably a lie. Doesn't he meet coaching candidates on neutral ground?
For instance, if he was going to meet with Brian Kelly, they might hook up in Charlotte as opposed to just right there in the Knoxville or Cincy airport.

Footnote: I don't REALLY know what I'm talking about most of the time.

This rumor brought me out of lurker status. Brady Hoke and his staff deserve the attention they have garnered for their success which began last year and has obviously continued through this year. Along with Hoke, the change in the direction of the BSU football program must also be linked to a major upgrade in facilities over recent years.

Hoke has done a nice job of changing the culture of a losing program into one that expects to win, but considering him for the head position at UT would be a bigger gamble than an OC/DC at a major program.

I don't have any inside info into the BSU program, but being in the area, the only jobs I've heard him linked to is Clemson.

Muncie can keep him. Ball State is the only thing that keeps that town from imploding on itself.

Having driven in some rather odd areas, I can easily say that Muncie is the most confusing city I've ever been in to drive around.

Is labeling streets that difficult? And what's with streets being called "350 W" anyway?

Muncie sucks, I like visiting my family up there every once in a while but I am glad I live in Tennessee everytime I leave.
